Rnd 34 - Using size F hook, join white baby yarn w/sl st in same sp as joining, ch 1, (sc, ch 1) in ea trc around, join. Fasten off. Top Ruffle Rnd 1 - With bottom edge of skirt toward you, using size G hook, join lt rose w/sl st in first unused lp of Rnd 30, ch 3, 2 dc in ea lp around, join. Fasten off lt rose. Rnd 2 - Repeat Rnd 34 of Bottom Ruffle. Armhole Edging Using size G hook, join lt rose w/sl st in 2nd ch at underarm, sl st in next ch, sl st in side of next row, sl st in next 9 sc, sl st in side of next row, sl st in first ch at underarm, join. Fasten off. Neck Edging Using size F hook, join baby yarn w/sl st in first ch at neck edge, ch 1, (sc, ch 1) in same sp, (sc, ch 1) in ea ch across to end, sl st in same sp as last sc was made. Fasten off. Finishing Step 1 - Sew 3 snaps to back opening. Step 2 - Cut 10 lengths of pearls each 10" long. Glue end of first strand under first unworked lp of Rnd 10, glue other end under 2nd unworked lp. Step 3 - Using next strand of pearls, glue first end under next unworked lp of Rnd 10, glue other end under next lp. Repeat this procedure until all 10 strands are in place. Step 4 - Folding ends under place 3/8" ribbon around doll's waist and glue at back. Step 5 - Counting stitches of Rnd 28, mark every 10th stitch for placement of bows. Step 6 - Cut 15 lengths of 3/16" ribbon each 6" long. Tie into bows. Glue bows between top and bottom ruffles corresponding placement to each marked stitch of Rnd 28. Step 7 - Cut 15 lengths of pearls each 5" long. Tie each into knot. Glue 1 knot in center of each bow around skirt. Step 8 - Cut one strand of pearls 5" long & place on doll's neck. Glue tog at back. |
