| Romans 6-8 discuss the working out of the gospel in a Christian's life. Paul then pauses for three chapters (9-11) to link his argument to the Old Testament history of the Jews. From there, he proceeds to give practical advice on specific problems (12-16). It will require time and concentration to grasp fully the teaching of Romans; few people would claim to have "mastered" this book. But it has no equal as a concise, reasonable statement of the Christian faith. |
