| Trim Work 1 Rnd of sc around ea sleeve with gold or silver. Finishing for Robe Sew 2 snaps to back opening. Place Robe on doll over Toga. Belt Using brown, make twisted rope for belt. Cut to desired length. Tie knot in ea end to secure. Pouch Row 1 - Using brown, ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook & in ea ch across, ch 1, turn. (5 sc) Rows 2 - 16 - sc in ea sc across, ch 1, turn. At end of Row 16, fasten off. Edging Fold bottom up 1 1/2". With back of pouch toward you, and working thru both thicknesses, join w/sl st in corner, ch 1, sc in same sp, sc in side of ea row to corner, work 3 sc in corner, sc in next 3 sc, 3 sc in next sc, work sc down side to bottom. Fasten off. Sew on button. fold top down and push button thru sts. Ch 20 for strap & attach one end to each side of pouch. Slide belt thru strap to hang. Wrap belt around doll's waist & tie with pouch hanging on right hand side. Cape Row 1 - With color B, ch 21, sc in 2nd ch from hook & in ea ch across, ch 3, turn. (20 sc) Row 2 - 2 dc in first sc, * 3 dc in next sc. Repeat from * across, ch 3, turn. Rows 3 - 20 - dc in ea dc across, ch 3, turn. At end of Row 20, fasten off. Piece should measure 9 1/4" from beg. Collar Row 1 - With neck edge toward you, join color B w/sl st in first ch of beg ch, ch 1, sc in ea ch across, ch 1, turn. (20 sc) Row 2 - 2 hdc in ea sc across, ch 1, turn. Rows 3 - 8 - hdc in ea hdc across, ch 1, turn. Row 9 - sc in ea hdc across to last hdc, 3 sc in next hdc for corner, sc in end of ea hdc & sc row of collar, 2 sc in end of ea dc row down side, 3 sc in first dc on bottom for corner, sc in ea dc across to last dc, 3 sc in next dc for corner, 2 sc in ea dc row up to neck, sc in ea sc & hdc row up side of collar, 2 sc in beg hdc, sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Bottom Trim Using trim color, join w/sl st in 2nd sc of corner on bottom of cape, ch 1, sc in same st & in ea sc to next corner, sc in first 2 sc of corner, ch 1, sl st into same sp as last sc was made. Fasten off. Add 1" fringe across bottom of cape. Sew stars & moons of colors to match trim in various positions on Cape. Sew 1 snap on ea side of neck row on Cape. Placing Cape on doll, mark where snaps should go on shoulders of Robe. Sew other half of snap to corresponding spots on shoulders of Robe. |
