1 KINGS
2:5 An Army Commander Who Went Too Far
For the background in David's comments about Joab, see 2 Samuel 3:17-30; 20:4-11.

2:17 After More than a Wife?
Solomon had a rather harsh response (2:23) to Adonijah's request to marry King David's companion. But asking for her may have been Adonijah's veiled attempt to regain the throne lost to Solomon.
